How large of an event can I host?
There is no capacity limit for events! If you want to keep events intimate but still accommodate unlimited attendees, consider creating a “Breakout Dinners” event.

What if I want special accommodations like a prix fixe menu or A/V setup?
Simply select “Single Venue” when creating an event, and you’ll be able to enter any special requests and accommodations.

What if I need to adjust my event size or cancel the reservation?
Events can’t be adjusted once created, please call the venue directly if you need to make a change. Cancellations with enough advanced notice can easily be changed or cancelled.

What kind of events can I host with Banquette?
Anything from casual friends dinners to corporate sales events. Make any event easily with Banquette.

How does volunteer hosting work?
Simply select the option for volunteer hosting when creating an event, and specify any hosting guidelines. As attendees register, requests for hosting will be sent to you for approval.

How does the attendee matchmaking work?
Depending on your choice of Single Venue or Breakout Dinners, attendees will either be matched into dinner tables or given a match score among all attendees. The goal is to make sure attendees get the most out of the event and build genuine connections!

How can I promote my event through Banquette?
You can leave your event public for anyone on the Banquette platform to search and join.

Should I choose “Single Venue” or “Breakout Dinners” for my community?
The short answer is, you can do both. Hosting an event is perfect if you are planning to physically show up. Breakout Dinners are better for large, dispersed communities that prefer to rely on volunteer hosts at each dinner.

How do Breakout Dinners actually work?
You set up your event page, create attendee matchmaking criteria, and share with your community. Once it’s live, AI automatically groups attendees into tables of 6-8 and assigned restaurant reservations. Attendees are given clear instructions, so you don’t need to worry about a thing.

How do you guarantee the volunteer host experience will be enjoyable?
We handle everything from setting up like-minded groups, guiding attendees on checking in, even facilitating engaging conversations. Rest assured, all your hosts have to do is follow your instructions and show up.

Can I set up an event for multiple locations?
Yes, that’s one of the main reasons communities rely on Banquette. You can’t be everywhere all the time, so let your community lead their own events.

Why do I need to put a card on file for my events?
For Breakout Dinners many of our restaurant partners require a card on file for no shows. For Single Venue bookings, venues typically require a minimum spend to be met.

Can I subsidize dinner for the attendees?
Absolutely! Banquette Concierge can take care of all of your special requests and accommodations.

How do attendees pay at Breakout Dinners?
Attendees are prompted to either ask for separate checks or split amongst themselves.

How does Banquette determine the groups and restaurants?
Our proprietary AI takes into account multiple factors such as interests, cuisine preferences, and other custom questions that you can set for your event.

Can I customize the AI to better match my community’s needs?
Yes! By adding custom questions and fine tuning to your event, our AI can use this added context to enhance the user matching.

What safety measures are in place for attendees?
Every Banquette is reserved at a public venue, so there’s no fear of a dangerous location. We also maintain a high level of anonymity, with no potential for catfishing, bullying, or targeting. Banquette has safeguards in place to avoid uncomfortable situations, but If you’re ever feeling threatened, you can always report users and ensure you will not be matched again.
